How Entitlements Work
Understanding how entitlements are consumed helps you plan your research activities effectively.
Entitlement Consumption
Real-time Deduction
Entitlements are deducted in real-time when you perform actions:

Pre-validation
Before starting resource-intensive operations, Qualz.ai checks if you have sufficient entitlements:
- Before Analysis: The system estimates how many analysis units will be needed
- Before AI Participation: Verifies you have enough AI Participant Responses
- Before Uploads: Confirms transcription upload availability
If you don't have enough entitlements, you'll see a notification explaining what's needed.
Insufficient Entitlements
When you attempt an action without sufficient entitlements:
- A modal appears explaining the shortage
- You'll see how many entitlements are needed vs. available
- Options to contact your account representative are provided
- The action is blocked until entitlements are available
Entitlements vs. Credits
Important: Qualz.ai has transitioned from a credit-based system to an entitlement-based system.

If you're on a legacy workspace that still shows credits, please contact support for migration assistance.
Workspace Ownership and Entitlements
- Entitlements belong to the workspace, not individual users
- All workspace members share the same pool of entitlements
- Only workspace Owners can see detailed usage and request more entitlements
- Admins and Members can see their available entitlements but not request additions
Multi-Workspace Usage
If you have access to multiple workspaces:
- Each workspace has its own entitlements
- Switching workspaces changes which entitlements you're using
- Data and entitlements don't transfer between workspaces
