What are Entitlements?
What are Entitlements?
Entitlements are the resources allocated to your Qualz.ai workspace that enable you to conduct qualitative research. Each workspace has a set of entitlements that determine what features you can use and how much.
Types of Entitlements
Qualz.ai workspaces include the following types of entitlements:
AI Interviews
AI Interviews allow you to conduct AI-moderated voice interviews with participants. Each interview consumes one AI Interview entitlement.
What counts as an AI Interview?
- Each participant who completes an AI-moderated interview
- Interviews can be of any length
- Includes real-time transcription and analysis
AI Participant Responses
AI Participant Responses enable you to collect responses from AI-powered synthetic participants. These are ideal for rapid prototyping and testing your research instruments.
What counts as an AI Participant Response?
- Each AI participant completing an interview = 1 response
- Each AI participant completing a survey = 1 response
- AI participants provide thoughtful, contextual responses
- Both AI interviews and AI surveys consume from this single pool
Analysis Units
Analysis Units are used when you run analysis on your qualitative data using our multi-lens analysis system.
What counts as an Analysis Unit?
For Interview Analysis:
- Each transcript analyzed = 1 analysis unit
- Plus 1 unit for overall synthesis
- Formula: transcripts + 1
- Example: Analyzing 10 transcripts = 10 + 1 = 11 units
For Survey Analysis:
- Analysis is based on response batches and open-ended questions
- Each batch of 100 responses per question = 1 unit
- Plus 1 unit for overall synthesis
- Formula: ceil(responses / 100) × open-ended questions + 1
- Example: 150 responses with 3 open-ended questions = ceil(150/100) × 3 + 1 = 2 × 3 + 1 = 7 units
Transcription Uploads
Transcription Uploads allow you to upload audio, video, or text files for transcription and analysis.
What counts as a Transcription Upload?
- Each file uploaded for processing
- Includes automatic transcription for audio/video files
- Supports various formats (.mp3, .mp4, .wav, .docx, .pdf, .txt)
Workspace Limits
In addition to consumable entitlements, workspaces have limits on:
Team Seats
The maximum number of members who can be part of your workspace. This includes Owners, Admins, and Members.
AI Participants
The maximum number of AI participant personas you can create for synthetic research.
Checking Your Entitlements
You can view your current entitlement balance at any time:
- Click on the workspace switcher in the top-left corner
- Select "View Usage" from the dropdown
- Or navigate to Workspace Settings > Usage
The usage panel shows:
