General Questions

What's the difference between entitlements and credits?

Entitlements are the new, clearer system that replaced credits. Instead of a generic credit pool, you now have specific entitlement types (AI Interviews, Analysis Units, etc.) that map 1:1 to actions. This makes usage more predictable and easier to track.

Do entitlements expire?

Entitlements typically do not expire but may be subject to your subscription terms. Check with your account representative for specifics.

Can I share entitlements across workspaces?

No, each workspace has its own entitlements. If you need to consolidate, contact support to discuss workspace restructuring.

Usage Questions

How do I know how many analysis units I need?

For Interview Analysis (Thematic Analysis, Lens Analysis):

  • Each transcript analyzed = 1 analysis unit, plus 1 for synthesis
  • Formula: transcripts + 1
  • Example: Analyzing 10 transcripts = 10 + 1 = 11 units
  • Example: Running 3 lenses on 5 transcripts = 3 × (5 + 1) = 18 units

For Survey Analysis:

  • Each batch of 100 responses per open-ended question = 1 unit, plus 1 for synthesis
  • Formula: ceil(responses / 100) × open-ended questions + 1
  • Example: 150 responses with 3 open-ended questions = ceil(150/100) × 3 + 1 = 2 × 3 + 1 = 7 units
  • Example: 50 responses with 2 questions = ceil(50/100) × 2 + 1 = 1 × 2 + 1 = 3 units

Why was my entitlement deducted before the action completed?

Entitlements are reserved at the start of an action to ensure the operation can complete. If an action fails, entitlements are automatically refunded within 1 hour.

What happens to entitlements if I delete data?

Deleting transcripts, interviews, or analyses does not refund entitlements. Entitlements are consumed when actions are performed, not for data storage.

Workspace Questions

Can members see entitlement usage?

  • Owners: Full visibility and can request more
  • Admins: Can see available entitlements
  • Members: Can see available entitlements

Only Owners can see detailed usage history and contact account representatives.

What happens when a member leaves?

When a member leaves a workspace:

  • Their work remains in the workspace
  • Entitlements used by their actions are not refunded
  • The seat becomes available for a new member

Can I downgrade my entitlements?

Contact your account representative to discuss plan changes. Unused entitlements from downgrading may be subject to your subscription agreement.

Technical Questions

Why did I get an "Insufficient Entitlements" error?

This error appears when:

  1. You don't have enough entitlements for the requested action
  2. There's a temporary system issue (rare)

Solution: Check your usage in Workspace Settings and contact your account representative if you need more.

Can I use the API with entitlements?

Yes, API usage consumes the same entitlements as UI actions. Ensure your workspace has sufficient entitlements before making API calls.

Are there rate limits separate from entitlements?

Yes, there may be rate limits to ensure fair usage. These are separate from entitlement limits. Contact support if you encounter rate limiting issues.

  1. Document the issue with screenshots if possible
  2. Note the date/time and action attempted
